Mbale’s biggest FULL MOON FESTIVAL is back

As the region’s biggest community camping event, the Full Moon Festival has come a long way since its beginnings in 2014. The Full Moon Festival aims to bring all of the town’s key tourism events together under one big, colorful umbrella. In effect, the impact would cause people to stop and celebrate the spirit and lifestyle of Uganda while focusing a spotlight on the region as a must-see, visitor destination.

Following extensive community consultation, the Full Moon Festival was refreshed to draw on the town’s unique culture and environment to create an event that would stand out from all others in Uganda today.

The Full Moon Festival aims to:

· Foster and build community spirit

· Nurture creativity in the region by providing a ‘stage’ to showcase our talent

· Build awareness and appreciation of our town and its unique, natural environment

Activities carried out throughout day and the night include; Grand Cultural Fusion, Fields of Fire Show, Live Band, Live Music Mix Fusions, Barbeque Blend, Camping Bonfire, Swimming, Hiking and Mountain Biking

The Full Moon Festival team implements a strategic marketing campaign in conjunction with Eastern Entrepreneurship & Tourism Network (EETN) to promote the event within the region and outside of it.
